1. Input field "from"

In this box, please insert the desired point of departure. If you would like to select a specific point of departure out of a list of possibilities, make sure that you terminate your query using a question mark "?".
In the event that a query for a point of departure leads to more than one result, please select the correct point of departure from the list.
In the event that your query is not attributable to a point of departure, please insert the name of the desired point of departure a second time!
In the event that a point of departure is attributable to your query, but other inputs are incomplete or misleading, the values in the input box will be replaced by your unambiguous standard point of departure.
Alternatively you may use postal codes, e.g. A-3107, to identify the point of departure.

2. Input field "to"

In this box, please insert the desired destination. Make sure that you terminate your query using a question mark "?", if you would like to select a specific destination out of a list of possibilities.
In the event that a query for a destination leads to more than one result, please select the desired destination from the list.
In the event that your query is not attributable to a destination, please insert the name of the desired destination a second time
In the event that a destination is attributable to your query, but other inputs are incomplete or misleading, the values in the input box will be replaced by your unambiguous standard destination.
Alternatively you may use postal codes, e.g. A-3107 to identify the destination.

3. The button "via"

Using the "via" Icon, you may activate the additional entry box "via" and the entry box "duration of stay", if required.

4. Input field "via"

An entry is only necessary if you wish to use a route diverting from the standard route. In this event please activate the inputbox "via" by clicking the icon. In the "via" box you may enter your desired interim stop, over which the route should be directed.
If you would like to receive a list of possible interim stops for your journey, you must terminate your entry with a question mark.
In the event that a query for an interim stop leads to more than one result, please select the correct interim stop from the list.
In the event your query is not attributable to an interim stop, please insert the name of the desired interim stop a second time.
If you further would like to influence the route, please click the icon "via (2)". You will receive an additional entry box for an additional interim stop. You may select a maximum of three interim stops.
In the event a destination is attributable to your query, but other inputs are incorrect or misleading, the values in the input box will be replaced by an unambiguous standard interim stop.
Alternatively you may - at your own discretion - use postal codes, e.g. A-3107 to identify the interim stop.

5. Input field "duration of stopover"

This entry box may be left blank. An entry is necessary if you inserted an interim stop under the entry box "via" and plan a stay there.
In this event, your journey will be computed using the term of stay you have indicated.

6. Input field "Date"

Please enter the desired date of departure. The actual date is set by default The required format is [DD.MM.YY]. Click the arrows beside the entry box in order to either select the previous day (left arrow) or the next day (right arrow).

As further means to select the departure date, you may click the icon "calendar". A subsequent window with a calendar will be opened enabling you to select your date of departure. Using the buttons "<<" and ">>" you may switch between the months. By clicking on a specific date you can select the desired date of departure. This date will be displayed in the entry box automatically.

In the event that the selected date is not within the period of the valid timetable, an error message will be displayed. In this event please select another date.
In the event that the desired date was entered incorrectly, please insert the correct date of departure.

7. Input field "Time"

Please enter the desired time of departure. The required format is [HH:MM].
Using the "departure" respectively "arrival" button in the DropDown-box, you can indicate that the date and time entries already made should be used when processing your query.
In the event that the entry is incorrect or invalid, please insert the correct time of departure a second time.

11. The button "more" - for further options

If you wish to exclude further means of transportation or add further service/s, please click "advanced" . You will receive a list with all means of transportation which may be selected and a DropDown Menu, with further options for the complete route.
If you have not yet decided on the exact point of departure and/or destination, you now have the possibility to select the desired points in your journey. The point of departure respectively the point of destination will be replaced by the wording "Start" respectively "destination", whereas interim stops will be replaced by the wording "Via 1, Via 2 or Via 3".
A click to "select all means of transportation" respectively "drop/deselect all means of transportation" triggers a selection or a deselection of all means of transportation
A click to "search" triggers the processing of your query based on the present settings and options
A click to "new query" provides you with a new, blank form for the next query.

12. Number of changes

By using this entry box you may limit the number of transfers.

13. Duration of transfer

When computing the routing, predefined transfer times at railway stations will be taken into account. In using this entry box, you may overrule the predefined transfer times and replace them at your discretion. The pre-selected transfer times may only be extended !.

14. Initial results

By default setting, a minimum of three route proposals will be displayed based on your entries. Using this entry box, you may select to display up to six route proposals.

15. Search connections

Click "search" to start processing your query.

16. New query

By clicking "New request", all previous entries will be deleted and a new, blank query form will be displayed.
